SERMONBOARD
Terms of Use
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms explain the ground rules for using SermonBoard. We have tried to keep them short and plain. If anything is unclear, email us at team@sermonboard.church.
Agreeing to these terms
By signing in to or using SermonBoard, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you set up SermonBoard for a church, you confirm that you are allowed to do so on the church's behalf.
The beta and pricing
- SermonBoard is in an invite-only beta. We are welcoming a few churches at a time.
- The beta is free. There is no charge for using SermonBoard during the beta.
- We will announce pricing before any charges begin. Nobody will be charged unless they choose to agree to a paid plan.
- Because it is a beta, features may change, and we welcome your feedback.
Accounts and invitations
- You need an invitation to use SermonBoard during the beta, either for your church or to join a church's team.
- Use your own email address and keep access to it secure, since sign-in codes are sent there.
- Church owners and admins decide who joins their team, each person's role, and which boards they can view or edit. They are responsible for removing people who should no longer have access.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Acceptable use
Please use SermonBoard for planning your church's preaching and teaching. Don't:
- Break the law, or upload content you don't have the right to use.
- Try to get into another church's data, or into parts of the service you weren't given access to.
- Disrupt the service, overload it, or probe it for weaknesses without our permission.
- Use SermonBoard to send spam or to harass anyone.
- Copy, resell or rebuild the service.
If someone misuses the service, we may suspend their access. Where we can, we will talk with you first.
Your church's content
Your church owns its content: series, weeks, titles, scripture, speakers, notes, ideas and everything else your team adds. You give us permission only to store, display, back up and process that content as needed to run SermonBoard for your church. We don't claim any ownership of it.
Availability and backups
We work hard to keep SermonBoard running and your data safe, and we back up the database daily. But during the beta, the service is provided “as is,” and we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Please use the Export button from time to time to keep your own copy of your plan.
Ending use and deletion
- You can stop using SermonBoard at any time. Export your plan first if you'd like to keep it.
- To delete your account, or your church's data if you are its owner, email team@sermonboard.church.
- If we ever end the beta or close SermonBoard, we will give churches reasonable notice and a chance to export their plans.
Limits on our responsibility
SermonBoard is a planning tool, and the beta is free. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, like lost data you didn't export or plans that were affected by a service problem. If we are found responsible for something, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months, which during the free beta is nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as SermonBoard grows. We will update the date at the top, and for important changes we will let church owners know by email before they take effect. If you keep using SermonBoard after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, in the United States.
